Making the DCP Twice in A Row!

Certificate Our goal of meeting the President's Distinguished Club rating was met through the efforts of many dedicated Toastmasters and through the earnest tracking of Charley Ashley and Vanessa Sutton.

Accomplishments that helped us were:

  • 2 New CTM's: Melissa and Keith
  • 2 New ATM-S's: Charley and Chuck
  • 2 New CL's: Charley and Chuck
  • 8 new members
  • 20+ paid members
  • 8 officers trained
  • All reports turned in to Toastmasters International on time

Those combined efforts gave us 9 of 10 DCP points for the President's Distinquished Club rating, two years in a row!!! Hip - Hip - Hooray for all those whose contributions went into getting this designation!

Inductions and Transitions

Our June 28th meeting had an added segment in our business meeting. It was an induction ceremony for 3 new members. We're always glad to add to our numbers and this time, we did so by inducting Richard Mason, Tausha Carter, and Julia Bland.

Outgoing President, Vanessa Sutton, gave out certificates to all the outgoing officers of Club 3002. In addition, the gavel was passed to our new President, Dana Rogers, for the first time.

For those who may not know, Dana is native of Columbus Ohio. She recently earned a dual degree from The Ohio State University School of Business in Marketing and Transportation Logistics.

Previously, Dana earned a liberal arts degree in music while living in the Southern California area. While on the West Coast, she worked with several technology and computer companies; however, her most fulfilling employment was with the Pasadena-Foothill Branch of the Los Angeles Urban League.

Dana has been a member of the Columbus-Whitehall Toastmasters Club since 2002. She has earned her Competent Toastmasters (CTM) designation and is very close to earning her Competent Leaders (CL) designation.

We look forward to a new and exciting year under Dana's capable leadership!
