International Speech Contest,
Part I |
Yes, You can be a world famous speaker!
It starts right here. Deja
Vue?
Last
InfoByte I urged club members to
revamp their favorite speech into
a hot "SpeakUp" newsletter article.
This
time I am encouraging each club TM who has more that six speeches
to try out for the International Speech Contest. Just
for you info, at the
club level you can have finished 5 speeches but the one you
are giving for the club contest has to be evaluated as a TM
speech. Beyond the club level all 6 speeches must be completed.
The
club contest is divided into two parts-Best Speaker and Best
Evaluator. On 11 March
we will have a club contest to chose the Best Speaker and
Best Evaluator.
The
best speaker is easy. Which speech is best wins.
There is a huge range of topic options. At the bottom
of this page is a link to the text of a winning speech.
The Evaluation contest
is run a bit different. All evaluation contestants will
evaluate the same target speech. The club and the contestants
will listen to a target speech. The Sgt. of Arms will
then take the contestants out of the room. The contestants
will be called in one at a time to render their evaluations.
The club will then vote on the Best Evaluator.
In
short, why be just another speaker when you can be a world
famous speaker and published author!!!
How's
that for two line's on
your resume! It all starts here!

JokeMasters: EveryOne |
At
the last meeting I tried a new format by having EVERYONE
serves as JokeMaster. It worked better than I had
planned. This week, lets try it again and thanks
to those Jokes Masters from last week!
