Club Speech and Evaluation Contest

One of the two weeks in February may be adjusted to allow for a Club Speech and Evaluation Contest.  This change is needed because I was just informed that our Area contest may be in March.  After we win in March it is off to the Divisional contests and then the May Spring Conference. The District 40 Spring conference will be held here in Columbus.

We will adjust the speaking schedule as the new information becomes available.  To find out more visit the District 40 website.

Club Member and Officer Training

Just one more time for the record, Club member and Officer training will be that Saturday, Jan 25, 2003. ANYONE can attend.  No matter how many times I attend the training sessions, I always learn something new. If you have missed the Emails, all the good info as to who, what, when and where can be found on the above District 40 Web page.

Who Gets Info Bytes?

Info Bytes is an enhanced Email intended for all active, inactive club members, guests and
friends of the Club.  It is not intended for non-club publication or use.

Become World Famous

Yes, You can be a world famous writer, author and speaker!  It starts right here.  How?  Easy, revamp your favorite speech into a hot "Speak Up" newsletter article.

Each of us have worked hard on our presentations.  Capitalize on your hard won speeches by converting them into articles for our newsletter, "Speak Up."  Many of our local club speeches would make super articles not only for our newsletter but for "The Toastmaster" our international publication. After all, who is more informed on the subject matter of your own speeches than yourself!

You have everything close at hand to be a world famous author and speaker. Dust off those speech notes and outlines and grab a keyboard.  With a little bit of thought and some fast typing, presto, another "Speak Up" article.  I converted my Jan 7th Evaluation presentation into two short articles. If I can, you can!

With a successful newsletter article published, aim higher.  Ask yourself if it would make a good article for our International publication?  Guidelines can be found on International's website. The worst that could happen is that they would say no.

In short, why be just another speaker when you can be a world famous published author and speaker.

How's that for a line on your resume! It all starts here!

JokeMaster Keeps Them Rolling

Many thanks to our club members for taking on the new role of Jokemaster.  Some of the jokes has kept us "rolling" in the aisles.

There seems to be a concentrated effort to prevent me from assuming that post.  I noticed that none of the Toastmasters of the Day have called me to be the JokeMaster again.
